Simon Curtis

Simon was born in Hertfordshire. Since turning professional in 1997 he has performed with many of the leading opera companies throughout the UK. Until 2012 he was a member of the Welsh National Opera, with whom he performed and understudied a large number of roles, including the title role in Handel’s Jephtha and Kromow in The Merry Widow.

His concert work is extensive, appearing at the Royal Albert Hall, South Bank Centre, St Johns Smith Square, Symphony Hall Birmingham, Bridgewater Hall Manchester and many other venues in the UK and Europe.

Simon is an experienced conductor, vocal coach and arranger working with Sing Live UK, the Community Choirs at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the National Youth Choir of Wales. He is currently the Musical Director of City Voices Cardiff and City Voices Bristol.
