New Members

The Canton Chorus is a Community Choir which welcomes new members who will be assured of friendly company and a lively, enjoyable musical experience.

There is no audition but the ability to read music is very helpful, though not essential. It is however clearly important that you are able to pitch a note and sing in tune. We have a number of singers who came to see what it was like and have stayed. If choral music interests you, why not give us a try, whatever your age, background or sex.

We also involved with WNO-Max's Community Choir and members have taken part in several of their community operas and other musical projects, most recently the Community opera "On the Rim of the World". All those who have taken part in these projects have learnt a lot about singing technique. Some of the more formal events do require the singer to pass an audition.

Rehearsals are held on Wednesday nights between 1945 and 2130 inCanton Uniting Church on Cowbridge Road in Canton.

Concert Dress is a black skirt and white top for women and a dark Lounge Suit with a white shirt and black bow tie for men.
