Conductor

Our conductor is John Abraham. He is an amateur musician, working as a civil servant within the National Assembly of Wales. After playing the piano and flute at school and university, he sang with the BBC Welsh Chorus for several years and studied the technique of conducting at Canford Summer School of Music. Subsequently he formed Canton Chorus in 1990. From 1984 to 1996 he was the conductor of the socialist choir Cor Cochion Caerdydd and now sings with za small group of friends in Abergavenny.
